Jordan Deschamps-Braly, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Deschamps-Braly is a board-certified plastic and craniofacial surgeon specializing in plastic surgery of the face, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, and craniofacial surgery for adults and children. He is one of the world’s foremost leaders and innovators in facial gender confirmation surgery.

Dr. Deschamps-Braly has his private practice in downtown San Francisco, the Deschamps-Braly Clinic of Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery. Patients from across the United States and overseas to visit his clinic. His multi-lingual team speaks English, Spanish, Russian, and French.

He currently operates at St. Francis Memorial Hospital as well as Hayes Valley Surgery Center both centrally located in San Francisco. He also works as a clinical assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Oklahoma’s Division of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Deschamps-Braly began his career after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma Honors College with a B.S. in Biochemistry, which was followed by his graduation from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Following this, he completed his general and plastic surgery residencies at the same hospital. He then completed an ACGME-accredited craniofacial surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin with Dr. Arlen Denny.

To gain experience from various world-renowned experts, Dr. Deschamps-Braly traveled to Paris, France, where he worked alongside Dr. Daniel Marchac and Dr. Eric Arnaud, both pioneers and innovators of craniofacial surgery and aesthetic plastic surgery. This invaluable experience provided him with in-depth knowledge and expertise with a broad scope of surgical techniques.

Following his time in Paris, Dr. Deschamps-Braly then traveled to Zurich, Switzerland to undertake a fellowship at the University Hospital Zurich in the Craniomaxillofacial Department — which was known for its pioneering work in the genesis of orthognathic surgery and being one of the highest volume centers for orthognathic surgery in the world.

In 2012, Dr. Deschamps-Braly established his private practice in San Francisco.  He continued the practice of world renowned surgery Dr. Douglas Ousterhout.  Dr. Ousterhout pioneered the field of gender surgery of the face and Dr. Deschamps-Braly worked together with Dr. Ousterhout for a number of years before Dr. Ousterhout’s retirement in 2014.  

Alongside his busy surgical schedule and private practice, he has maintained an academic career authoring numerous papers on craniofacial surgery and presenting at various national and international meetings on a range of topics within the sphere of craniofacial surgery.
